Accessibility Statement

Last updated: September 3, 2026

Our commitment

CalExitNow.com is a movement for all Californians, so everyone should be able to use this site. We work to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Where we fall short, we want to know, and we fix it.

What we’ve done

  • Full keyboard navigation, a visible focus indicator, and a “Skip to main content” link
  • Properly labeled, autocomplete-enabled forms with screen-reader status messages and managed focus
  • WCAG-AA color contrast on text, buttons, and form controls
  • Respect for your “reduced motion” preference
  • Semantic landmarks and a clear heading structure for assistive technology

Known limitations

Video captions. The two videos embedded on our homepage currently carry YouTube's automatic captions only, and we have not yet published transcripts. Automatic captions do not meet WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.2.2, and without a transcript there is no alternative under 1.2.3 either. We are treating this as an open item rather than a met standard. If you need the content of either video in another form now, email us and we will send it to you.

Some features rely on third parties we don’t fully control, including the Cloudflare Turnstile verification on our signup form and embedded YouTube videos. If any of these create a barrier for you, contact us and we’ll help you take action another way.

Found a barrier?

We treat accessibility issues as a priority. Email [email protected], tell us what you ran into, and we’ll respond and work to fix it.
